Oh, and did we mention? This is a hybrid role - being based 2–3 days a week in our beautiful downtown Seattle office, located in the heart of the International District, with easy access to the city’s best food, culture, and energy.
As a P&C Business Partner (PCBP), a typical day might include a mix of the following:
$95,000 - $105,000 USD/annually
Paula’s Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.

As a P&C Business Partner (PCBP), a typical day might include a mix of the following:
- You will play a vital role in aligning our people strategies with business objectives. You’ll work closely with leaders and team members to support our culture, drive engagement, and deliver high-impact People & Culture solutions. As well as serve as the voice of the client to the P&C team, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
- Advise and coach leaders and employees on a broad range of P&C topics, including employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, change management, leadership development, and equity &inclusion.
- Champion employee engagement by supporting best-in-class P&C programs and resolving employee issues with professionalism and timeliness.
- Provide thoughtful guidance and resolution on sensitive matters such as performance issues, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and workplace safety.
- Apply our talent management programs such as performance management cycle, talent calibration, succession planning to the field. Ensuring fair and consistent evaluations, merit reviews, and bonus allocations that reflect individual and team contributions to business outcomes.
- Translate P&C data into actionable insights for business leaders. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend solutions to drive retention, development, and performance.
- Partner with P&C team members to ensure tools and processes are effectively adopted in the field, including onboarding, engagement initiatives, and talent development programs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws through proactive practices, ongoing training, policy management, and thorough investigations.
- Responsible for managing all employee lifecycle transactions within client teams, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, and other employment changes
- Seattle, WA (candidates must already be based in the Seattle area). This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to work onsite at our downtown Seattle office 2–3 days per week.
- Hours: Typical PST Business Hours, some flexibility
- Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time
- Travel requirements: Weekly travel to our Kent Distribution Facility
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, customer service, decision-making, creative problem-solving, and leadership, with the executive presence needed to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong judgment and discretion are essential, as this role involves handling sensitive and confidential matters. Must be able to remain objective and balance the needs of the employee, the leader, and the organization to support a fair and equitable workplace.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality work while managing multiple priorities. Proactive, resourceful, and able to anticipate needs and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates resilience under pressure and remains adaptable and responsive in dynamic or evolving situations.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws, recruitment practices, EEO/AAP regulations, and P&C policy development.
- 3-5 years' experience in People & Culture/P&C or related field
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- This position requires a strategic mindset, strong coaching abilities, and a passion for creating a positive employee experience.
- Experience of building and implementing P&C platforms i.e. HRIS, talent management platforms
- Experience working in Consumer Products with employees in departments such as Supply Chain, Creative, Sales, Brand Marketing, Customer Service
