Degan, Blanchard & Nash, a well-established law firm, is seeking an organized and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree in Human Resources or a professional with 1–3 years of HR experience. The HR Associate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s recruiting efforts, HR administrative functions, employee engagement initiatives, and timekeeping compliance.

The HR Associate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s recruiting efforts, HR administrative functions, employee engagement initiatives, and timekeeping compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including new hire orientation and paperwork.
- Perform administrative HR tasks such as filing, scanning, and maintaining employee records.
- Assist with employee benefits enrollment and provide support during open enrollment.
- Serve as backup support for new hire orientations, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new employees.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
- Provide administrative support for performance reviews, training sessions, and employee engagement events.
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements.
- Help process and correct employee timecard entries in coordination with supervisors and payroll.
- Monitor staff overtime and ensure compliance with firm policies and labor regulations.
- Generate and review reports for payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide general support to the HR team and handle other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, OR 1-3 years of HR experience.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
