Estimating Data Intern- Part Time

The Estimating Data Intern supports the Estimating department by organizing historical project data, identifying trends, and assisting with data analysis and reporting. The role involves document control, participation in team meetings, and collaboration on low-impact projects. Ideal candidates are students pursuing degrees in Business, Engineering, or Data Analytics, with strong Excel skills, analytical abilities, and an interest in renewable energy.

Description

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports the Estimating department by compiling and organizing historical project data.
• Identifies trends and patterns in cost, time, and resource data to support future estimates.
• Assists in maintaining document control and data integrity under the guidance of the Lead Estimator.
• Participates in team meetings to take notes and track action items.
• Collaborates with the Estimating Manager and Director of Estimating on low-impact data analysis projects.
• Prepares summary reports and visualizations to communicate findings to the team.
• Gains exposure to estimating processes and tools while developing industry knowledge.
• Provides general support for various tasks as assigned.
  
  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently pursuing a BS or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Interest in Solar, Renewable Energy, or Power Generation is a plus.
• Proficiency with PowerBI and/or Tableau
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other MS Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and communicate insights clearly.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  

BENEFITS AND PAY:

• $20-$27, hourly dependent on experience, qualifications, and competencies
• Expected 15-20 hours a week based on availability
• Hybrid format based in Denver
