Ellie Mental Health, Mid-Cities is a highly successful outpatient mental health organization that puts the needs of its therapists and patients first. We currently have 2 open clinics located in North Richland Hills & Grapevine. Our therapists provide individual, family & group therapy as well as Telehealth.

Additionally, we provide centralized Shared Services (Contracting & Credentialing, Intake, Scheduling, Billing, Collections) support so the focus can be on the patient.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Behavioral Health Referral Development Coordinator

We’re looking to add a Behavioral Health Referral Development Coordinator to our team. This will be a full-time, W2 position. The sole focus of this role will be on referral generation, strategic outreach and partnership development. This position is not about passive promotion or brand awareness. It is about actively driving volume through quality, metric-driven outreach to referral sources.

The successful candidate will be a proactive relationship builder and field marketer who thrives on forging partnerships with medical professionals, schools, community organizations and other stakeholders to generate qualified, high-converting referrals. This individual will lead, execute and refine a local outreach strategy aligned with clinic growth goals.

Education & Experience

Required Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, business development, or referral outreach.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health services and care pathways.
  • Demonstrated success in building referral networks or partnerships.
  • Experience in using sales management CRM software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities And Duties

Marketing & Referral Development:

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in the field (travel within the local region required).
  • Identify, map and prioritize high-potential annuity based referral sources.
  • Develop and manage a weekly outreach schedule.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, gatekeepers, and staff at referral organizations through consistent communication, follow-up and value-driven engagement.
  • Create and present customized value propositions for each referral source, informed by their unique patient population and needs.
  • Track referral activity by source and identify trends, gaps and new opportunities to expand volume.
  • Organize and attend targeted networking events, community meetings, conferences and industry functions to increase visibility and referral opportunities.
  • Conduct quarterly outreach strategy reviews to align with capacity, staffing and market changes.
  • Manage light social media posting for clinic events and outreach recaps if aligned with brand strategy.

  • Position reports to the Clinic Director.
  • Potential for occasional evening or weekend event attendance.
  • Pay structure consisting of a base salary and a performance-based incentive/bonus plan tied to referral growth & new patient acquisition.
