Staff Scrum Master – HCM
What You’ll Discover
The Corporate Solution Delivery organization leads the evolving software and systems at TJX for Finance, Human Resources, Collaboration, and Analytics. We chase the big, strategic initiatives enabling TJX to make faster, smarter decisions every day. The Human Capital Management (HCM) Solution Delivery team is responsible for software and systems that support TJX’s world-class Global Human Resources and Payroll organizations. This role will be a part of the team that designs, configures, and implements a diverse portfolio of applications. We are looking for an experienced and talented Scrum Master for our Global HCM Solution Delivery Team.
What You’ll Need
As a Staff Scrum Master, you will guide and support 1-2 scrum teams that support the HCM Portfolio including Workday, ServiceNow HR, and SharePoint. You will lead and facilitate team level ceremonies that support the delivery of epics. Your core responsibilities will be enabling teams as a true servant leader to ensure that goals are met by the teams and the ART. You will improve ART performance by identifying resolution of program impediments and being a change agent with continuous improvement. You will foster an environment where the team can be effective, addressing any team dynamics. You will collaborate with multiple partners across the ART, work across other areas within IT and with our HR business partners.

This position has a starting salary range of $101,500.00 to $131,900.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.

Minimum Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead Scrum teams for large, complex deliveries
- Experience navigating and supporting a 200+ person global Agile Release Train
- Facilitation of all the team’s meetings and ceremonies using SAFe Framework
- Excellent communication, collaboration and a self-starter.
- Removes roadblocks, many of which will be beyond the team’s authority or will require support from other teams
- Continuous improvement mindset and highlights opportunities to improve efficiency of scrum teams
- Ability to coaches and mentor the team on agile ways of working
- Management of dependencies internal and external to scrum team
- Raises risks and blockers when necessary to RTE and appropriate team members/leadership
- Experience working closely with PO to understand and align on backlog priorities
- Experience with calculating team capacity, analyzing and adjusting learnings from previous sprints
- Extensive understanding of agile methodology, techniques, frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban) and agile tools (such as Jira and Confluence). Participated in a PI event.
- Strong Understanding of Release Planning Processes, with a focus on ensuring alignment with audit requirements
- Communicative and social -- excellent interpersonal and group facilitation skills including the ability to work with global and diverse stakeholders and personality types
- Assertive - must be able to ensure agile and scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, and not afraid to be a voice of reason and authority
- Willing and able to hold the team accountable to its vision and values
- Situationally Aware -- must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to team and to management, where appropriate
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate on issues of strategy, risk and process
- 5-8 years’ experience in an agile environment
- Relevant undergraduate BA, BS degree in IT or Business or equivalent experience
- SAFe Certified Scrum Master
- Experience supporting teams through Workday Implementations and ongoing system adoption
- Knowledge of HCM Business Processes
