About this Job

Director of Deployment Solutions at Eridan is responsible for the end-to-end customer delivery of the RU product and site solution from preliminary evaluation of the customer requirements to planning the deployment and final sign-off. You'll ensure that Eridan's RU and necessary accessories and ancillaries meet all customer requirements and, when necessary, work closely with the customer to build successful site solution – from bracket, cabling and connectors to antenna. Furthermore, you'll be able to participate in RF-planning to ensure that the selected RU-sites (with antenna) match the assumptions made in coverage and throughput simulations..

As our Director of Deployment Solutions, you will:

Deployment Planning & Solution Offering

  • Be part of the Sales-team, understand each Customer's specific plans and characteristics of where RUs are installed and the conditions they operate.
  • Drive and arrange site pre-surveys with the customers. Ensure that any requirements and feedback impacting RU product or site-kits are captured and properly concluded prior to corresponding deployment.

Site Solution building & Vendor Management

  • Develop guidelines, practices and procedures that are used to deliver high-quality site solutions across various customer segments and use cases
  • Understand the various deployment aspects of both outdoor and indoor installations in different environments and installation types (tower- and pole-mounts, rooftops, wall installations), also when RU and antenna are co-located
  • Build a competitive (performance, cost) vendor-base across various accessories and ancillaries, ensuring the overall RU deployments to be successful (especially for reliability, safety and usability)

Deployment Management

  • Plan and prepare materials for pre-staging, ensure the documentation availability and plan the deployment (materials, time, cost other resources), including the customer when needed.
  • Lead the RU deployment with the customer, installation partner and other stakeholders for successful completion and customer sign-off.

RU Competitiveness and Deployments

  • Own the deployment aspects ("deployability"), including installation & operation compliance across various deployment types and environments
  • Drive competitive and quality improvements to upcoming new RU HW Platforms and Products with other internal stakeholders
  • Maintain and follow-up lessons-learnt and best practices related to site solutions and RU deployments.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in customer-facing technical roles, involving wireless RF hardware systems
  • Strong understanding of 5G NR, RAN architecture, and RF system behavior
  • Fluent in customer engagements from giving executive presentations to participating in sales negotiations.
  • Experience with project management processes in cross-functional and -organizational environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills under pressure and minimal guidance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of working time as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with O-RAN/vRAN architecture and interfacing with DU/CU platforms.
  • Ability to conceptualize RU site solutions and dependencies with the operational environment, CU/DU interfaces (fronthaul) and typical Telecom infrastructure.
  • Experience in fast-paced startup or customer deployment settings
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Salary Range

Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $150,000 and $185,000 plus stock options and benefits.
