Are you a forward-thinking technology professional with a passion for optimizing healthcare systems? Greenbrook is seeking a dynamic Clinical Systems Support Specialist to lead our efforts in maximizing the potential of our EHR.

The Clinical Systems Support Specialist champions the optimal utilization of AdvancedMD Electronic Health Records (EHR) software through expert support, targeted training, and proactive project coordination. This pivotal role ensures seamless EHR functionality by providing timely technical assistance, delivering role-specific training, and leading cross-departmental projects that enhance operational efficiency and revenue cycle performance. Success in this role hinges on strong collaboration with clinical staff, physicians, operations personnel, and revenue cycle teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AdvancedMD EHR-related issues and requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, escalating complex issues to appropriate internal or vendor resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and user interactions within the support tracking system.

Training And User Engagement

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and documentation for clinical staff, administrative personnel, and physicians on AdvancedMD.
  • Provide individual and group training sessions tailored to user roles and responsibilities.
  • Continuously update training materials to reflect system upgrades and process changes.

Project Management And Coordination

  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing EHR workflows, enhancing user experience, and improving revenue cycle efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and revenue cycle departments to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Coordinate testing, deployment, and monitoring of system enhancements and new modules.

Reporting and analytics

  • Leverage AdvancedMD reporting and analytics tools to design, generate, and distribute operational, clinical and financial dashboards, providing actionable insights into patient care workflows and revenue cycle performance.

Quality Improvement And Compliance

  • Monitor and analyze EHR usage patterns and propose workflow, templates, and process improvements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices, policies, and procedures related to EHR usage.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and standards, including HIPAA.

Vendor Management

  • Liaise directly with AdvancedMD technical support and account representatives to escalate, manage, and resolve system-level issues.
  • Coordinate periodic software updates, patches, and enhancements with vendor teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience supporting Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records systems, with demonstrated expertise in AdvancedMD EHR.
  • Experience providing technical support and training to physicians, clinical staff, and administrative users in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience managing or participating in technology improvement projects, especially those that interface closely with operations and revenue cycle management.

Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AdvancedMD EHR system functionalities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex situations effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or formal training in AdvancedMD system administration.
  • Experience in medical practice management, revenue cycle processes, billing, and clinical operations.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Position could be office-based and/or remote. Remote candidates must have reliable internet connectivity and be available for occasional on-site visits as required.
  • Occasional travel between clinical sites may be required.
  • May occasionally need to work outside regular business hours for system maintenance and issue resolution.

Benefits Statement: Selected candidate will be eligible to participate in the Company’s employee benefit plans, which currently include: health insurance; dental insurance; vision insurance; optional supplemental medical insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; company-paid life insurance and additional voluntary life insurance; company-paid short term disability and long term disability insurance; participation in a 401(k) savings and investment plan with company contribution; and paid time off for non-exempt salaried employees is calculated as .625 per pay period worked for vacation time and .29166 per pay period for personal time. Full-time exempt employees will be eligible for Flex-PTO, which allows time off without accrual. If applicable and required under state law, the successful candidate will also be eligible for paid sick leave. These benefits are subject to plan terms, company policies and are subject to change.
