Role Overview
Could you be our next Production Assurance Analyst? Globe Life is looking for a Production Assurance Analyst to join the team!
In this role, you will be responsible for updating, monitoring and maintaining the Globe Direct To Consumer production Jobs on the mainframe as well as other ETL processes.
This is a remote / work from home role.
What You Will Do
- Perform problem resolution activities regarding production problems to ensure accurate and timely processing of production systems.
- Coordinate production problem resolution activities with Operations and Programming. Focusing on a continuous system up time at the highest level of operational efficiency.
- Analyze, change and/or create rerun procedures. Coordinate such procedures with Operations staff.
- Create incident reporting on failed production runs.
- Review, evaluate, and approve production changes according to standards and keep production documentation updated and coordinate changes made to production with Operations personnel.
- Analyze run structure and job structure and make/implement improvements.
- Responsible for all production schedules, both automatic and on request.
- Catalog data-set files on the tape/disk file Manager to include proper number of generations established and disaster recovery consideration.
- Review, monitor, and implement necessary backups to fulfill production data retention requirements.
- Assist the programming staff regarding questions or problems concerning system flow, JCL, files, etc.
- Assist the Programming staff in maintaining test system(s), and process tests as requested.
- Run Queries for the GDTC Department that support the enterprise.
- Facilitate the conversion of legacy systems.
- Design, prototype, develop, test cases and document ETL components.
- Perform unit testing of ETL components and document test results.
- Support testing, including Development Integration Testing, System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, End-to-End Testing and Performance Testing.
- Perform troubleshooting on ETL Components.
- High school diploma or advanced education preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience with mainframe processing.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word required.
- Experience with daily transactions in an enterprise environment.
- Experience writing process flows and requirements documents.
- Experience with mainframe batch processing.
- Experience supporting Marketing, Customer Journey, or Advanced Analytic operations.
- Experience in researching and interpreting data, with a solid understanding of relational database concepts and table design.
- Strong technical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication required.
- Must have great problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be attentive to detail and understand implications for the business.
- Excellent data analysis abilities.
- Strong demonstration of the skills to align business needs with IT capabilities required.
- Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift.
- Ability to work full time and/or part time based on the position specifications.
