Job Description

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Trained, certified, and meets productivity and quality standards for the task defined below:
  • Review, analyze, and redact confidential information from case records before they are released to requestors.
  • Ensure redactions are in compliance with state and federal privacy laws, including HIPAA, Texas Administrative Code, and Texas Family Code.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and required to maintain unit operations.

  • Exhibits flexibility with the work schedule.
  • Demonstrates continuous dedication to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service.
  • Perform quality control checks detecting and correcting any errors.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of foundational records management theory and practice;
  • Knowledge of records management laws, regulations, rules, policies and procedures; and concepts of information governance of various phases of records and information management.
  • Skill in the use of a computer and applicable software (e.g. Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Skill in planning and prioritizing work activities.
  • Skill in research activities in a fast-paced business environment
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with various levels of personnel in governmental entities and external customers.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate data and information to formulate conclusions and communicate guidance verbally or in writing;
  • Ability to apply standardized information management strategies and procedures to unusual and/or critical situations;
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain confidentiality of any information obtained in the position;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and timely with internal and external customers to manage issues and problems identified, problem-solve, and to recognize when to escalate a situation to management
  • Ability to organize priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to sit and maintain focus and pay attention to details for extended periods of time.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Work Experience: Four years full time administrative support, general office, or clerical work experience. Related records management work experience.

Location: Must live near San Antonio or Austin Texas

Work Location

Primarily remote. On occasion, in-person meetings or conference attendance will be required. Advanced notice will be provided when in-person attendance is mandatory.
