We are seeking a Fixed Assets Accountant to join our accounting team based in our Bakersfield office.

The base annual salary for this posted position is expected to range from $80K - $100K, with a target annual bonus of 10% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Match, Paid Holidays, FSA, HSA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the fixed asset subledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
  • Review and verify capital expenditure (CapEx) requests for proper classification in conjunction with the fixed asset subledger
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and project teams to track and close capital projects to fixed assets
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain proper supporting documentation as needed
  • Assist with the monthly reconciliation of the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and SOX/internal control requirements
  • Assist with physical inventory reconciliation reviews
  • Support external audits and provide documentation as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business (Accounting preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, asset capitalization policies, and depreciation methods
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle
  • Experience with HFM | Oracle EPM
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting
