Overview
The Vice President of Sales will drive revenue growth and market expansion for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) offering comprehensive IT solutions, including service desk, cybersecurity, cloud services. This executive role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building and leading a high-performing sales team, and fostering strong client and partner relationships across all MSP service lines.

This executive role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building and leading a high-performing sales team, and fostering strong client and partner relationships across all MSP service lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a sales strategy to grow all MSP offerings: service desk, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, cloud, and network management.
- Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the sales team.
- Adjust sales plans based on market trends and company goals to maximize profitability
- Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, terms, and service-level agreements
- Business Development & Account Management
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities through consultative and social selling approaches.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using cold calling, networking, digital marketing, and industry events.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their IT environments and pain points, and presenting tailored MSP solutions (including service desk and cybersecurity).
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to drive retention and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Collaboration & Service Integration
- Work closely with service delivery, technical, and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction
- Collaborate with marketing to develop campaigns and thought leadership content for social selling and lead generation.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to support professional growth.
- Market Intelligence & Innovation
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies and service offerings
- Drive the introduction of new services and enhancements to meet evolving client needs.
- Proven success in MSP sales, including service desk and cybersecurity solutions
- Strong understanding of consultative and social selling strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performing sales teams
- Analytical skills to interpret data and make strategic decisions
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in IT services or technology sales leadership roles.
- Experience with large-scale MSP operations and service desk integration.
- Strong network within the IT and cybersecurity sectors.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a data-driven approach to sales management.
