Job Purpose: As a Manufacturing Industrial Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and leading engineering initiatives that align with our company’s strategic goals. You’ll coordinate the development and implementation of new equipment, methods, and processes while ensuring optimal production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management (50%) Manage and coordinate Capital Improvement project implementation and development of new equipment, methods, and processes to ensure and/or increase quality and reduce cost of the manufacturing and distribution processes with Production, Maintenance, Management, and others as appropriate. Perform and coordinate the procurement of project materials, tooling and equipment necessary as related to specific projects or launch of new products or processes. Keep Management apprised of project progress through written communications and meetings.
  • Technical Support (25%) Provide technical and troubleshooting support to the various manufacturing and maintenance departments.
  • Process & Equipment Development (20%) Researches and recommends new equipment, dies, tooling, fixtures, welding processes, tools and assembly processes and procedures to improve quality, safety, and/or manufacturing efficiency and coordinates their implementation through the use of Plant Layout development and other engineering techniques. Assists in the development and of support guidelines required for new and existing products.
  • General Support (5%) Performs other job-related duties and special projects including but not limited to providing additional assistance to manufacturing regarding production.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing or in a related industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic systems
    • Experience with PLC programming and control systems
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
    • Skilled in CAD and general PC software
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to walk/stand for long periods in a heavy manufacturing environment
    • Capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs occasionally
    • PPE compliance (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, etc.)
