About the Position
The Senior Vice President Technology is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s technology, strategy including technology infrastructure, information systems and technology, long term strategy and architecture, management and resources. A strong leader, technologist, and business manager. This position leads technology implementations, inclusive of information management and data analytics, and will provide guidance and recommendations to the CEO on technology strategy, including overall organizational systems architecture, direction and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy: Responsible for aligning short and long term technology strategy with strategic plan. In conjunction with the leadership team and CEO, build out roadmap and long-term architecture to ensure technology systems are in place to support the evolution of the organization. Creates and manages overall systems architecture and technology strategy, ensuring integration of all systems across the organization. Ensures streamlined and cost-effective systems while also maintaining security, usability and forward compatibility requirements. Identifies new technology innovation areas by staying engaged with industry and research and development initiatives.
- IT Operations: Manages operational technology and assets, telecommunications, security systems, and corresponding budgets ensuring timelines and budgets are met and maintained. Responsible for strategy, management and implementation of desktop services for all employees including laptops, mobile workstations, printers, eFax etc. Responsible for creating, managing and conducting RFPs for new systems, programs or infrastructure needs for the organization meeting timelines and budgets for these efforts.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Manages the cybersecurity for the organization. Ensures security compliance of systems for applicable standards and prepares and monitors for disaster recovery.
- IT Support: Manages company help desk, ensuring appropriate response and resolution times. Responsible for the delivery of basic IT services in a delivery model friendly to the end-user.
- Innovation: Owns and drives the piloting, prototyping, and implementation of new technology initiatives with focus on data assets used in organizational decision making and automation of operational processes. Partners with cross-functional leadership to deliver and sustain transformative change via technology, data management and automation solutions and practices, enabling efficiencies and innovation.
- Team Development & Training: Manages staff responsible for development, integration and maintenance of all information systems and technology. Develops and implements an appropriate training program for staff to ensure technical proficiency and to enhance productivity.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
Must Have:
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and partner with stakeholders to define technical options and roadmaps to achieve organizational priorities.
- Ability to align resources available with key priorities and strategically manage tradeoffs needed to stay on budget and on plan.
- Demonstrated ability in managing hybrid technology stack where some infrastructure is housed internally and some hosted in the cloud managed by third parties.
- Ability to find the optimal balance between what resources can be outsourced vs managed internally.
- Ability to build strong teams and collaborate across the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
Nice to Have:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT management at the senior manager level in a multi-unit organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) experience preferred
Compensation
- Salary Range: $170,000-$185,000 annually

The base salary range above represents the low and high of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
