Key Responsibilities:
Referral Development & Marketing:
- Identify and build strong partnerships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, home health agencies, and other healthcare providers.
- Promote the facility’s services through regular outreach visits, presentations, and relationship-building efforts.
- Represent the facility at local events, networking opportunities, and community functions to build brand awareness.
- Coordinate and manage the admissions process from initial inquiry through admission.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all admission documentation and communication with internal departments.
- Work closely with the clinical and operational teams to ensure appropriate placements and smooth transitions.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to increase occupancy and maintain target census levels.
- Monitor referral patterns, admission trends, and market changes to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
- Track and report key metrics including referral sources, admissions, denials, and lost referrals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, or sales; skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care insurance programs.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience using CRM and referral tracking systems.
- Existing network of referral sources in the local healthcare market.
