We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager II to oversee operations in one or more of our maintenance hangars. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians and inspectors, manage day-to-day maintenance operations, and ensure all aircraft repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

What You Will Do

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee aircraft maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Lead and develop your team: mentor, train, reward, discipline, and hold staff accountable.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time, within-budget aircraft delivery.
  • Address maintenance delays and technical issues, implementing process improvements as needed.
  • Maintain responsibility for the airworthiness of aircraft within your assigned hangar(s).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals.

Must-haves

  • B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience.
  • Typically, 8+ years of progressive aviation experience which includes 4+ years of management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a 145 Repair Station environment.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification
  • Comprehensive knowledge with aviation safety standards, safe operating practices, aircraft maintenance and inspection processes, procedures and/or returning planes to service
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred

  • Corridor experience
  • Computerized maintenance tracking system experience, (CAMP, Traxall, Cescom, etc.)
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
  • Heavy repair and modification of both metallic and composite structures
