Job Summary

The Regional Manager oversees the operations of all Supermercado Mexico locations, ensuring continuous improvement in customer experience and store efficiency. This role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and leadership to drive performance across all stores while maintaining alignment with the company's global strategic plan. The Regional Manager works closely with operations, accounting, HR, and other departments as needed, supervises store-level leadership, and ensures the achievement of sales targets and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:

• Supervise the operation of the Supermercado Mexico locations to continuously improve customer experience and store efficiency.
• Monitor, audit, and revise (when necessary) standard operating procedures at the store level.
• Ensure all store locations meet sales targets, operational goals, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures across all stores.
  
  

Strategic Planning & Reporting

• Create and execute a Strategic Plan for the Supermercado Mexico entities and update as necessary to align with the Global Strategic Plan.
• Prepare monthly operational reports (including store operations, sales, and labor) to present to the CEO and/or designated committees.
  
  

Leadership & Team Development

• Collaborates with HR to strategically manage and distribute talent across stores based on business needs and organizational culture.
• Supports the development and refinement of a fair, effective process for staffing allocation and role transitions across locations.
• Supervise the performance of Store Managers at all Supermercado Mexico locations and provide performance evaluations.
• Lead, mentor, and support Store Managers and the Assistant Regional Manager to drive team performance and professional growth.
• Authorize the hiring of Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers and monitor training of said hires.
• Foster a positive, motivating work environment to enhance employee engagement and reduce turnover.
  
  

Financial Management

• Continuously monitor sales data and labor expenses as they relate to monthly and annual budgets and make necessary adjustments with Store Managers to better meet budget.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Department to maintain proper standing of the annual budget.
• Manage regional budgets, ensuring cost control and maximizing profitability.
  
  

Customer Experience & Store Presentation

• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service and quality products.
• Maintain high standards of store presentation and visual merchandising.
• Address and resolve customer service issues to maintain a positive brand reputation.
  
  

Travel & Performance Evaluation

• Conduct regular visits to store locations to assess performance and provide hands-on support.
• Identify and address operational issues to ensure consistent execution of company standards.
• Provide detailed performance reports and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  
  

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent work experience of 5 years+ in multi-unit retail management will be considered.
  
  

Skills

• Bilingual (preferred but not required): English and Spanish - reading, writing, and conversational proficiency.
• Technological Proficiency: Microsoft Office, standard POS operation, and basic technological troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
• Flexible schedule (as necessary) to meet the needs of the business.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
