Responsibilities
- Direct, coordinate, and oversee the administration of all associated nursing and support staff.
- Plan, implement and evaluate all nursing services to include associated administrative operations and activities.
- Review, establish and maintain patient care protocol and standards, ensuring that all federal and state, Armor, and facility policies, regulations, and guidelines for patient care are met.
- Establish and coordinate quality improvement, safety, and infection control programs
- Review pharmacy utilization to ensure adherence to the formulary.
- Establish and implement short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures
- Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives, recruits, employs, trains, supervises, and evaluates professional and contract staff.
- Current unencumbered state license as an RN
- Bachelors in Nursing preferred
- Previous nursing supervisory experience, preferably in a correctional healthcare setting
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
