The Senior Global Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategic direction, lifecycle management, and global market performance of assigned dental products and portfolios. This is a highly collaborative role and works cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, Commercial, and Regional teams to define product strategies, drive new product development initiatives, and optimize in-market product performance. As part of bringing new products and services to market, this role also leads global market assessments, identifies customer needs, and translates insights into actionable business plans to achieve growth, profitability, and competitive advantage.

Responsibilities
General Scope of Role – Manages an Assigned Product Portfolio and Market:
Market Insights
- Maintain deep understanding and knowledge of dental market, including staying abreast of key market and clinical trends for relevant segments
- Conduct voice-of-customer research to identify customer needs, market gaps, validate strategy, messaging, purchase intent and generate customer and market insights
- Transform customer insights into new market opportunities and/or product enhancements
- Stay current on new technologies such as automation and cloud platforms and understand how they can impact the dental industry and clinical workflows
- Identify and prioritize new product concepts and treatment solutions for commercialization
- Create business plans, and marketing and communication strategies for the launch of new products/solutions
- Incorporate usability studies, research, and market analysis to enhance user satisfaction in product requirements
- Work in cross functional project teams to develop products in coordination with the respective counterparts (R&D, Operations, Clinical Affairs, Clinical Education, Regulatory, Quality, Compliance and Commercial Sales Teams)
- Partner with downstream counterparts to develop positioning, messaging, and value proposition of new products/solutions within dental workflow
- Develop and execute product training for commercial teams, dealers, and other key stakeholders
- Champion marketing strategies including positioning, advertising, packaging, pricing
- Manage lifecycle management of existing product range, market environment analysis, and market surveillance
- Develop and implement concepts to expand market share
- Implement promotional strategies in partnership with commercial teams and build tracking mechanisms to measure effectiveness
- Create and implement enhancements of products and services to improve user experience, satisfaction and revenue
- Manage SKU rationalization process, including discontinuations to minimize excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory
- Monitor competitor activities in the competitive environment as well as the development of response plans and leverage learnings to enhance portfolio
- Monitor and report on end-user responses after product launches and implement any necessary changes to enhance user experience
- Work alongside creative teams to develop content for print and digital channels to drive revenue and share growth; including social media, print journals, e-commerce sites, blogs, webinars, newsletters, etc.
- Interface with external agencies in advertising, marketing communications and PR
- Partner with Clinical Education and Clinical Affairs to establish external testing in support of products, course curriculum, webinar content, and clinical education events with the Dental Groups and commercial Clinical Education teams
- Develop English master versions for marketing collaterals (brochures, advertisement, presentations, videos, etc.)
- Analyze sales performance for each product group and region
- Liaise with the Country Commercial Organization (CCO) to ensure strong execution of launches and ongoing product support activities in the market
- Create support and training documents for internal and external users
- Serve as liaison for cross product procedures within Essential Dental, Implant and Prosthetic and Connected Technology Solutions teams
- Build and maintains strong relationships with all key departments and work closely with respective groups
- Foster strong relationships with partners and/or manufacturing suppliers
- Build strong relationships with commercial teams, speaking advocates, and key opinion leaders, input considered through all development activities.
Who You Are - Qualitifcations
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or significant relevant work experience.
- At least 8 years' experience leading technical product launches and discontinuations, preferably within PaaS/SaaS solutions in medical/dental industry
- Working understanding of financial documents and how this role can influence both (income statements, expense budgeting, financial decision-making methods)
- Strong understanding of executional aspects of marketing: advertising and promotion program management, product positioning, lifecycle management and/or pricing
- Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and influence across the matrix with global, regional and country partners
- Working knowledge of manufacturing process, planning and logistics and how this role influences these areas
- Strong communication, influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills including ability to work cross culturally
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical products quickly
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to travel international and domestic up to 25%
