**Major Duties**

  • As a senior expert, reviews and comments on strategic governance documents (SGD), from within DLA, other DoD Components, and other government agencies and non-government organizations...
  • ...which address IT issues for potential impact on J6/DLA major program objectives, operating policies, work operations, and process.
  • Serves as an expert J6 issuance documents official who develops, and maintains an online repository of J6/DLA SGD serving a variety of audience types and needs.
  • Oversees the development and prescription of DLA SGD preparation, framework, formats, content, and editorial standards, to include the library of SGD types and uses
  • Conducts comprehensive management studies covering the efficiency and effectiveness of the J6 organization.
  • Serves as a senior expert on the J6 strategic governance programs and provides advice to SGD writers and subject matter experts on all aspects of SGD development, maintenance, coordination, publication, and review.

**Qualification Summary**

To qualify for a Strategic IT Business Operations Specialist, your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in- grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Reviews and comments on SGD from organizations which address IT issues for potential impact on major program objectives, operating policies, work operations, and process. Provides technical expertise in review of SGD which significantly impacts and contributes to the successful accomplishment of the mission. Oversees the development and prescription of SGD preparation, framework, formats, content, and editorial standards, to include the library of SGD types and uses. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
