Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Director, Commercial Learning & Development who will report into the Vice President, Commercial Operations. You will be responsible for building the company’s inaugural Commercial Learning & Development function. The position will be responsible for the development of commercial learning & development capabilities, training curriculum as well as planning and executing all training for commercial field employees. Initially, this person will be focused exclusively on the learning & development/training of commercial team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute department-level comprehensive strategic and tactical 12-24 month training plans to support the short- and long-term objectives of the commercial organization
  • Work closely with multiple internal key stakeholders inside and outside the Celcuity commercial organization to ensure strategic alignment and appropriate integration of tactics into all learning & development programs
  • Identifies strategic external partners to assist in meeting/exceeding commercial learning & development/training objectives
  • Develop new hire learning & development/training programs and curriculum for field and other commercial associates
  • Develop advanced learning & development/training programs that differentiates Celcuity, fosters a positive corporate culture, and contributes to the retention of high performing team members
  • Ensures utilization of the most efficient means of learning & development, including eLearning, self-study, computer-based training, audio/video, classroom, and experiential learning
  • Establish and implement key metrics to track and communicate level of value and impact of learning & development initiatives to all stakeholders
  • Develops, measures, analyzes, and reports on the effectiveness of learning & development/training programs through ongoing feedback including surveys, stakeholder meetings, internal interviews, and field rides
  • Accountable for developing learning & development/training content, including backgrounders and FAQs on competitive products and updates associated with promoting and maintaining brand strategies and tactics
  • Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring all learning & development materials incorporate all appropriate regulatory and legal compliance guidance and approvals

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or medical/marketing/sales/learning & development/training experience with a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace landscape
  • Background in adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Prior oncology or rare disease sales and/or sales training experience preferred
  • Successful product launch experience and building functional capabilities
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills; demonstrated ability to effectively manage business relationships with external strategic partners
  • Highly professional demeanor to effectively interact with senior internal leaders and external stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible regarding schedule and work projects
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate the promotional review committee process with medical, legal, and regulatory
  • Comfortable with self-motivating, taking ownership, and delivering results in a challenging environment with high ambiguity
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
  • Strong people/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and interact effectively with senior leadership team and multiple key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities including budgeting and actual spend against budget
  • Excellent organization, communication, and team orientation skills
  • Ability to influence and guide others; ability to work effectively and lead in teams

Preferred

  • Prior sales experience in the pharma/biotech industry
  • Experience in breast cancer market preferred
  • Experience identifying and implementing a training platform (i.e. Learning Management System) for field users

Gedatolisib phase 3 clinical development programs are focused on the treatment of patients with HR+/HER2- ABC in the 1L and 2L settings. A Phase 1b/2 clinical trial evaluating gedatolisib in combination with darolutamide in patients with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer, is on-going.
