About The Team And The Role
The Risk & Losses Finance team owns financial forecasting and reporting for eBay's Global Risk, Compliance & Transaction Losses business unit. We are trusted partners to the cross functional teams that support eBay's losses from chargebacks, eBay Money Back Guarantee and eBay's Global Shipping Programs. In this role you will build and own the financial models for all of eBay's shipping programs including eBay International Shipping, eBay Managed Delivery and the Global Shipping Program.
What You Will Accomplish
$70,000 - $120,700
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

About The Team And The Role

In this role you will build and own the financial models for all of eBay's shipping programs including eBay International Shipping, eBay Managed Delivery and the Global Shipping Program.
What You Will Accomplish
- Build and iterate on new models for forecasting and consolidating losses from eBay's current and future shipping programs.
- Partner with functional and regional business teams to help them understand drivers of loss and optimizations to balance customer experience with loss minimization for eBay.
- Be the authority within finance on eBay shipping programs and the underlying data to support decision making.
- You will be the primary contact within finance to your partners in controlling and on the business teams.
- Tell the financial and strategic story of eBay's shipping programs to senior leaders within finance and the business.
- 2+ years of financial analyst experience working in a data driven area of FP&A. Experience working within quick financial reporting and forecast timelines.
- SQL Mastery - able to learn new datasets quickly, build new logic and queries independently. Confidence working with data engineers to communicate needs in new source tables or in making changes to existing ones.
- Excel Model Building Master - independently development new models and reporting. You have the skill and confidence to listen and understand a new problem and craft the optimal model around it.
- Communication & Partnership - Be a trusted partner and understand the needs and perspective of your business and controlling partners
- Passion for Learning and Development - This is a growing initiative for eBay, you will need to stay on top of program changes and adapt as new programs launch.
- Experience with SAP and Anaplan would be valuable but not crucial.
