POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Product Operations works in conjunction with Engineering leaders to ensure Advanced Energy has the best-in-class new product introduction velocity. Working with Operations and Quality, this role is responsible for delivering the highest-quality, lowest-cost released products with minimized working capital. Responsible for customer responsiveness for product demand, from ELS (Early Learning Systems) prototypes through high volume ramp demand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $160,000 to $200,000 per year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the New Product Introduction (NPI) global team to transition products from Engineering to volume manufacturing ensuring Design for excellence (DfX) goals are attained regarding New Product Development (NPD)
- materials planning, materials program management, as well as Manufacturing Engineering and Test resources.
- Initiates and manages volume operations programs in conjunction with the Global Operations organization to improve material costs, labor hours, first time yields, cycle times, and quality and inventory levels.
- Drive improvement in assembly jigs, fixtures, and targeting automation to reduce variability of product builds
- Initiates and manages transfer of NPI products to factory operations. Manages early unit build capability and facilities on a global basis.
- Manages Engineering development NPI infrastructure to enable fast prototype development and early customer JDP/alpha shipments.
- Excellent leadership skills
- History of success managing global teams
- Ability to build, mentor and develop strong teams
- Organizing and planning skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in presenting clear and concise information to team, internal customers, senior management, and external customers
- Experience in program management including planning
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to manage through influence
- 10+ years of relevant work experience within semiconductor equipment industry, or similar high-tech industries.
- 10+ years of experience in operations leadership roles.
- Experience applying “Lean thinking” principles to improve operational performance.
- B.S. in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
- Advanced degree including M.S., Ph.D., or MBA, highly desirable.
