Description
Responsible to ensure the quality standards of Kaney, Inc. in all products produced. This includes programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), developing inspection plans, and performing inspections.

Responsible to ensure the quality standards of Kaney, Inc. in all products produced. This includes programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), developing inspection plans, and performing inspections.
Major Responsibilities
- Program CMM using CMM Manager, Hexagon PC-DMIS, and Zeiss Caylpso, and operate CMMs.
- Develop part holding fixtures for CMM using SolidWorks, with or without design solid model.
- Perform inspections including first article, receiving, In-process, and final.
- Perform inspections for PPAP including MSA and capability study data collection.
- Develop CMM Inspection setup plans.
- Perform / assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
- Participate in the nonconformance and corrective action processes.
- Work with engineering, production, and others as necessary to resolve quality / inspection issues.
- Review procedures, make updates when required, and approve per process.
- Support the organization in training individuals or groups.
- Perform / assist in the Internal Auditing and other auditing processes.
- Work with registrar, customer, and third-party auditors as required.
- Support and lead proactive continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other QA related activities as assigned by the Quality Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a Quality or Engineering related field or
- 3-5 years of experience in aerospace machining and/or assembly required, or equivalent combination of both.
- Knowledge / experience in programming and operating CMMs using CMM Manager, Zeiss Calypso, and Hexagon PC-DMIS.
- Expert knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
- Ability to perform dimensional inspections using a wide variety of inspection equipment (simple hand-tools to CMM). Experience with AS9100 certification and documentation.
- Must be able to use applied knowledge of root cause and other problem-solving methods.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), especially in Excel report creation / generation.
- Ability to use SolidWorks to design / create CMM holding fixtures.
- Expert in programming and operating CMMs using CMM Manager, Zeiss Calypso, and Hexagon PC-DMIS.
