Initial Data Operations is seeking three talented and aspiring Technical Records Specialist 1s for Revenue Operations. These positions are onour Mail, Research & Payment (MRP) and Printing, Records, Imaging, & Mail (PRIM) teams. These positions rely on strong attention to detail, favor prioritization and organization skills, utilize confidence in communicating with the public and businesses, and the capacity for deductive reasoning. Initial Data Operations strives to create a welcoming and productive work environment where our staff have the opportunity to learn, engage with each other, and develop their career goals.
Responsibilities
At least 6 months of experience in each of the following areas:

Responsibilities
- Gather information, make decisions, resolve problems, and respond to inquiries
- Utilize independent judgment and discretion as to the methods, policies, and procedures used to complete assignments
- Conduct involved searches, which may require accessing and selecting multiple information sources or contact with taxpayers, vendors, or outside sources to obtain information
- Review, evaluate, correct, and process records, payments, and/or documents
- Interpret or determine compliance with tax rules, regulations, statutes, and/or program policies and procedures Interpret, explain requirements, processes, and procedures to others, internal and external
- Access, maintain, and update manual and/or computerized records systems and develop reports
- Communicate with taxpayers and/or preparers by telephone, email, and/or other written correspondence
At least 6 months of experience in each of the following areas:
- Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors
- Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems
- Interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments
- Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system
