Position Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President, the Vice President of Sales is responsible for the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the sales and marketing functions of the company and developing new product lines and new customers in collaboration with sales and administrative leadership. This position is also responsible for developing and managing corporate wide marketing and food service and/or retail sales programs with a primary focus on growing brand equity and awareness, supporting permanent business growth, driving company profitability and revenue generation and supporting/guiding overall corporate strategy. The Vice President of Sales also works closely with the total sales team to create and implement sales and marketing strategies, communication, analytics and market trends which includes marketing collateral material and sales tools. This position will be based in the Corporate Headquarters in Green Bay, WI.

Organizes, motivates and supervises select internal and external leadership. Carries out Management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to provide instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Manage the food service, retail, marketing, and Customer Service staff to obtain growth and margin objectives
- Develop and implement a professional sales and marketing strategy to maintain and drive business growth in all corporate programs and services
- Lead, train and develop skills and establish appropriate goals and objectives. Provide appropriate and timely feedback on performance and attainment of goals. Establish quotas and assure processes are in place to achieve them
- Oversee the review, design and implementation of new business customers or products and ensure its completion is timely
- Work to gain new contracts and maintain existing customer relationships
- Identify and lead new opportunities for business development through prospecting and marketing
- Analyze impact of external factors on business growth and adjust marketing plans accordingly. Stay abreast of products and programs of competitors. Communicate competitive insights to staff with education about how to address competition and relevancy with potential and current customers. Develop recommendations on how to react so that goals are achieved
- Oversee the group’s financial budget to ensure business development goals are met and exceeded
- Participate in strategic planning, budget preparation and senior leadership level business planning
- Demonstrate a time-conscious attitude and consistently strive to use time effectively by completing assignments in an efficient, well organized, and self-directed manner
- Share information, knowledge, concerns and expertise through staff meetings and assisting in the education and support of sales and marketing staff
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Perform all other duties as assigned by President and/or Vice President in the areas of: Purchasing, R&D, Supply Chain, Vendor Relations and Quality Assurance

Education And/or Experience
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a sales or marketing emphasis, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
