Our Commercial Interior Design client is searching for an EVP of Commercial Markets to join their team. This role is hybrid in Marietta, GA.

Reporting to the CEO, as the EVP of Commercial Markets, you'll be responsible for the Commercial P&L, with a focus on all commercial markets. This leadership role requires a visionary executive who can integrate sales, design, procurement, and project management to deliver seamless, high-quality commercial experiences. Your seasoned leadership and strategic acumen will ensure the seamless management of cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and aligned with the brand and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate sales, interior design and project management team and workflow to deliver projects in a timely manner to achieve results and deliver a worry-free experience to our clients.
  • Refine, document and maintain strong SOPs and repeatable processes across departments to minimize errors and omissions, from quoting to delivery and accounting closeout.
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of commercial design process, from initial concept to final installation and closeout, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, leveraging industry expertise to drive collaboration and exceed client expectations.
  • Communicate and problem-solve with design team, clients, vendors and trade partners, offering innovative solutions and ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Manage overall gross margins using fees, discounts and price as levers.
  • Enhance procurement processes, including bidding, quotation review, budgeting, and vendor negotiations, optimizing cost-efficiency without compromising design integrity.
  • Experience with building site inspections and punch-list assessments, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and accountability within the Commercial team, leading a high-performing team and fostering professional development.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in commercial interior design, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery.
  • NCIDQ Certified
  • Financial acumen and experience delivering successful profitability against budgetary plan
  • Proven leadership skills, with a demonstrated track record of inspiring cross-functional teams and driving results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Results-oriented, with a commitment to delivering excellence in every aspect of project management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
