What To Expect

Tesla is seeking a Title Specialist within the Used Car Operations business. This team is responsible for ensuring seamless title transfers for all acquired vehicles across North America.

As a Title Specialist, you join a large and highly effective team tasked with efficiently and accurately processing all vehicle title transfers. This complex and administrative role requires high agency, a detailed and organized mindset, excellent communication skills, positive and collaborative attitude, and a track record of excelling in a high-volume administrative role. You learn fast, take directions well, maintain a hyper-focused workflow, and are highly organized. Title Specialists are the core of the team and keep the entire trade-in and used vehicle business turning.

What You'll Do

  • Efficiently process administrative tasks for mail and vehicle title transfers, including opening mail, organizing, scanning, filing, reassigning, and shipping documents
  • Identify, log, and resolve title or document issues by following up on actions, researching internal/external databases, and ensuring completion while upholding state and federal compliance
  • Physically reassign ownership on state-specific vehicle titles with zero errors and complete DMV applications for duplicates, corrections, and title brands
  • Document tasks, notes, and log productivity metrics in internal databases while navigating systems to gather additional data from vendors as needed
  • Organize and package titles daily for shipment to auctions or buyers, maintaining an expert-level understanding of the team’s filing system and vendor shipment matrix
  • Manage multiple administrative tasks throughout the day, keep an organized and tidy workstation, while staying focused to meet productivity targets (e.g., tasks per hour)
  • Monitor emails and chat channels throughout the day for team updates and review and implement key changes requested with accuracy and immediacy

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in a highly administrative role
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in an administrative and/or compliance related role, DMV/dealership, or vehicle registration/titling is required
  • High agency, attention to detail, organization, and excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Must be able to read/write English clearly and legibly
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
  • Notary designation is required but can be obtained after hire (paid by Tesla)
