IBM Message Queue Admin Analyze and understand customer requirements, organization, functions Should have sound knowledge in MQ 7.0, MQ 8.0, 9.0
Must have experience with installing and configuring MQ on UNIX AIX, RHEL based operating systems.
Administration, Maintenance, Deployment, and Integration including installation and configuration of IBM MQ version 7.x,8.x & higher.
Proficient Knowledge of Administration, Maintenance, Deployment, and Integration including installation and configuration of IBM MQ version 7.x,8.x & higher.
Proficient Knowledge of defining and modifying MQ configurations such as queues, listener ports, channels, pub/sub, etc.
Security hardening of IBM MQ to include TLS1.2 encryption and Authority/Authentication Records.
Plan and participate in Infrastructure, Architecture, and Design activities of the MQ Infrastructure.
Proficient in tuning, issue, RCA and resolution, and end user support
Monitors execution and performance of messaging applications.
Proficient in MQ Clustering.
Expert in product Fixpack installations and version upgrades of WebSphere MQ
Expert level Knowledge on administration tasks using MQSC Commands
Proficient on MQ Backup Recovery process.
Must be able to work with Developers to support development, testing for various application using MQ hosted on Windows, Linux, AIX Operating System.
Architecture/Design support for MQ applications.
Create, update, troubleshoot and maintain scripting for the various tools generated for the day-to-day maintenance.
Support Annual DR exercise for MQ applications and update process, procedure accordingly.
Qualifications
8-10+ years of hands-on experience supporting and administrating enterprise Messaging Middleware environments
Knowledge of:
IBM MQ 9.x
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.98/hour - $57.79/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
