Mass Tort Attorney

Latitude Legal

Latitude Legal is seeking an experience Mass Torts/Class Action Attorney for a short-term, part-time engagement (approximately 20 hours per week) with a nationally recognized plaintiff-side mass tort and class action law firm. This is a fully remote role anticipated to run through July 2026 (potential for extension). The firm is flexible on scheduling and East Coast or West Coast hours are both workable. If you can commit to a consistent block within standard business hours (East Coast or West Coast), they'll work with it.

This is not a traditional litigation role. The firm has a large active docket of mass tort and class action matters (e.g., pharmaceutical liability, defective medical devices, toxic exposure, and consumer protection) and a significant volume of existing clients who need direct, attorney-level communication about their case status, settlement structure, and next steps. The firm has excellent support infrastructure and will provide thorough training, documentation, and FAQs. What they need is an attorney who can bring credibility, empathy, and clear communication to calls that a paralegal or case manager simply can't handle the same way.

What You'll Do

  • Receive a daily task list via the firm's CRM and conduct outbound calls to existing mass tort and class action clients
  • Provide case status updates, explain settlement structure and point allocation, and walk clients through their options and next steps
  • Address client questions about lien resolution, insurance carrier reimbursement, and payment timing in plain, accessible terms
  • Document each call in the firm's CRM system
  • Serve as the attorney-level voice for clients on a specific docket, working in coordination with the docket's managing attorney and litigation team

Who You Are

  • Licensed attorney in good standing; California license preferred
  • Background in personal injury, mass tort, or plaintiff-side litigation strongly preferred; you can speak to difficult clients and explain complex legal postures in plain terms
  • Comfortable in a high-volume, call-heavy role; this is 80%+ client communication, not legal research or drafting
  • Organized, empathetic, and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Able to commit to approximately 20 hours per week for a defined two-month engagement
  • Available during some portion of standard business hours (East Coast or West Coast); the firm is flexible on exact hours (e.g., 12–4 PM ET or 9 AM–1 PM PT works) as long as availability falls within the business day, not nights or weekends
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Outstanding references
