Junior Merchandiser
Haypp Group
HAYPP GROUP
At Haypp Group, we’re driven by a higher purpose to address one of the world’s biggest public health crises: How to put an end to smoking. Globally, there are still more than 1 billion active smokers, and every year around 8 million people die from largely preventable, smoking-related diseases. Our goal is to empower adult nicotine users to make less harmful choices and, in doing so, save lives. We do this by being the go-to online retailer for safer nicotine alternatives.
Haypp Group is one of the Nordic region’s leading e-commerce retailers when it comes to safer nicotine alternatives with 17 digital storefronts and an established presence now in 7 countries. Nicotine pouches (snus) were invented in Sweden, so it makes sense that this is where our head office is based, but the US is by far our fastest growing market. Over the years, we’ve served millions of customers through our 2 dedicated US sites - Nicokick and Northerner - with that number steadily increasing.
With around 280 team members spread between Europe and the US, we’re now in the process of scaling our local operations in Arlington, Virginia. There’s no doubt that we are an innovative, fast-moving company that’s on a strong growth trajectory. And at Haypp Group, you’ll get to experience the perks of a Scandinavian-American mixed workplace without having to move overseas! Ours is a open-minded organization with energy and drive that welcomes ideas from all levels of seniority and values you for being you.
THE ROLE
As we continue expanding in the U.S. market, we’re looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join our Ecommerce team in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you’ll support the execution of on-site merchandising activities that directly impact product visibility, conversion, and customer experience.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across Ecommerce, UX, Product, and Marketing to maintain accurate product and pricing data, support campaign execution, and ensure a seamless and high-performing customer journey. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn how merchandising drives performance in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Arlington, Virginia.
What You Will Do
- Maintain accurate product and pricing data across the site, including product setup, updates, and ongoing data integrity in the PIM system
- Support on-site merchandising by optimizing product listings, updating category and landing pages, and ensuring a high-quality, conversion-focused customer experience
- Execute and support promotional activities, including setting up discount codes, on-site campaigns, banners, and ensuring timely and accurate campaign launches aligned with the commercial calendar
- Conduct quality assurance across the site, including verifying content, identifying bugs or usability issues, and coordinating with relevant teams to resolve them
- Assist in campaign and merchandising operations by managing Jira requests, supporting major events (e.g., Black Friday), and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams
- Support testing and release processes by validating new pages, products, and features, and documenting and reporting any issues prior to launch
What We Are Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising, or a related field (internships included)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Interest in ecommerce, customer experience, and performance optimization
- Willingness to learn tools such as Magento, Klevu, Kevel, PIM systems, and Jira
A BONUS IF YOU ALSO BRING
- Experience working in an ecommerce environment or with CMS/PIM systems
- Exposure to merchandising, pricing, or on-site optimization
- Familiarity with testing, QA processes, or campaign execution
- Experience working in fast-moving or highly data-driven environments
How You Will Grow
- Gain hands-on experience in ecommerce merchandising and on-site optimization
- Learn how product, pricing, and campaign execution impact conversion and revenue
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across Ecommerce, UX, and Product
- Build a strong foundation in data accuracy, QA processes, and campaign execution
- Take on increasing ownership of merchandising activities as your experience grows
