THE CITY OF WHITE PLAINSDEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF PARKING ISalary: $183,560Under general direction, the incumbent of this class assists the Commissioner in the management of theParking Department, with specific responsibility for the Operations Division, Administrative Services,Strategic Planning, Special/Capital Projects, Revenue/Coin Collection Operation, Parking Violations,Enforcement/Security, Technology Implementation/Support, and Parking Permit Program. This position isempowered to act for and on behalf of the Commissioner. Supervision is exercised over a large staff. Assistsin directing the operations, strategic planning and special programs of the Parking Department; does relatedwork as required.DESIRABLE TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's Degree* and six (6) years ofprofessional experience in parking, facilities, enforcement or general operations or a related field. Thisexperience must include two (2) years in an administrative or management capacity involving the supervisionof staff supervision. A Master’s Degree* may be substituted for one year of the above experience.*NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national,or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S.Secretary of Education.
