Process Engineer
Drive real change on the plant floor — where data meets action.
Our client, a high-performance manufacturer committed to operational excellence, is seeking a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives across production operations. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who moves fast, digs into data, and translates findings into measurable process gains.
Projects You'll Work On
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Lead root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and drive sustainable cost reductions
- Design, test, and upgrade manufacturing systems and processes using data-driven methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, TPM, Six Sigma)
- Develop and maintain best practices and standardized routines to improve output quality and production rates
Data Collection & Analysis
- Build and refine data collection systems; analyze output to deliver actionable insights to department managers
- Interpret production metrics and present findings clearly to cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Use tools like Excel and Minitab to support statistical analysis and process capability studies
Capital Projects & New Business
- Collaborate with Project Engineers on capital project planning and execution
- Develop project justifications and cost-benefit analyses for capital requests
- Provide informed feedback during new business quoting and annual budgeting cycles
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to implement and monitor process changes driven by customer requirements
- Support the Commercialization team on new product/process launches
- Train team members on new processes and commissioning of new equipment
What Experience You Should Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3–5 years of process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment — food packaging or similar high-volume production preferred
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and 5S
- Proficiency in Excel and Minitab; MS Office Suite required
- TPM/Kaizen, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus
- Strong analytical mindset — you define the problem, collect the data, draw valid conclusions, and drive the fix
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Direct impact: your work drives measurable cost reduction, safety, and throughput improvements — not just recommendations
- Exposure to capital project execution and new business quoting gives you a commercial lens most process roles don't offer
- High-performance operating system (HPS) environment — structured, metric-driven, and built for people who want to sustain change, not just launch it
- Growth-oriented organization investing in process infrastructure
