Responsibilities Include

  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The responsibilities below are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.
  • Provide patients with information about office policies, procedures, and services
  • Ability to collect patient payments and verify patient information
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues timely
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm and positive in a fast-paced environment
  • Multitask while answering calls and patient chats
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including excel and word programs
  • Follow procedures and policies and report needed changes or patterns
  • Able to sit for long periods of time while typing and speaking

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm, positive, and professional in stressful situations
  • Strong listening and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable navigating difficult patient conversations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while speaking and typing
  • Previous medical office, billing, call center, or customer service experience preferred
  • Medical billing experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Must be comfortable being on the phone most of the workday.
