Position Overview
The Application Development Manager is responsible for the design, development, integration, and optimization of enterprise applications and data solutions. This role delivers scalable web applications, robust database solutions, and seamless system integrations across key platforms, including ERP, CRM, POS, Back Office and other internal systems.
The position partners with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into high-performing, reliable, and secure technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
o Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications and enterprise tools.
o Build frontend and backend components using modern frameworks.
o Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of applications and integrations.
Data & SQL Engineering:
o Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
o Design data models, optimize queries, and support reporting and analytics initiatives.
o Build and manage ETL processes and data pipelines.
Systems Integration & Technology
o Develop and manage integrations across ERP, CRM, POS, Back Office and third-party systems using APIs and web services.
o Ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
o Support authentication and SSO integrations (e.g., Okta).
System Support & Optimization:
o Monitor and maintain application and database performance.
o Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
o Support deployments, upgrades, and environment management.
Collaboration & Delivery
o Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions aligned to business needs.
o Contribute to development standards, architecture, and best practices.
o Document systems and processes.
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
Experience
· 4+ years of experience in full stack or backend development.
· 4+ years of experience with SQL Server, APIs, and system integrations.
· Experience with modern web technologies, retail technologies, and enterprise platforms. (Intranet/Extranet, Toast, ADP, CrunchTime, Okta)
Technical Skills
· Advanced SQL/T-SQL
· Web technologies (JavaScript, React, Node.js)
· API development
· Systems integration
· ETL/data pipelines
· Familiarity with cloud platforms and BI tools (Power BI, Cursor, Snowflake, Fabric)
