City Wide Facility Solutions Houston West is seeking a Director of Operations to lead our team to industry-leading client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
This role owns the performance of our client portfolio, guides a team of revenue-generating account managers, and ensures that City Wide delivers exceptional service while achieving growth and profitability goals. This opportunity includes a base salary of $90k+, bonus, and uncapped commission designed for a leader who wants real impact and accountability.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team of Facility Service Managers and operational staff including hiring, training, and performance development.
- Oversee all aspects of operational and financial performance with specific focus on revenue growth, profitability, contractor / temporary labor management, and expense control.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support client retention above 93%, oversee new account startups, and ensure service excellence through regular building inspections and CRM data accuracy.
- Ensure vendor and Independent Contractor (IC) compliance, quality of service, and alignment with assigned scopes of work as well as City Wide internal controls.
- Collaborate with sales to identify and drive cross-selling opportunities, with a commitment to moving beyond current contract services.
- Traveling within the market up to 50% to maintain a strong field presence by working alongside FSMs, providing coverage as needed, and building relationships at multiple levels of our clients’ organizations.
Requirements
You are the professional we’re looking for if you...
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with 5+ years in operations, sales, or account management including team leadership and increasing responsibility.
- Demonstrate the ability to build and manage client relationships, resolve conflicts, and lead teams to achieve performance goals.
- Display strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence, coach, and develop others effectively.
- Are skilled in project management and prioritization, with the ability to attack the details while maintaining a "big picture" focus.
- Show a commitment to professionalism, integrity, a positive attitude, and a collaborative approach with clients and internal teams.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experienced with CRM systems and departmental budgeting.
- Commit to daily learning, problem-solving, and improving systems through critical thinking and process awareness.
