Event Specialist / Content Specialist

Creative Circle

Our client is seeking a Cvent Event Specialist / Content Specialist starting ASAP! This role is 10-15 hours/week, ongoing with more time during launch seasons (July - September 2026 and January - April 2027).

You will support the build and ongoing management of the event website for an upcoming conference. You will be focused on configuring and maintaining an existing Cvent platform rather than building from scratch and will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and collaborate with internal marketing, conference, and leadership stakeholders to deliver a polished, registration-ready site ahead of launch.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Configure and customize an existing Cvent event website using one of Cvent's available templates for an upcoming conference

- Update branding, content, and navigation to align with event standards and client's visual identity

- Build and set up core event pages for Phase 1 launch (targeting early July 2026)

- Set up and configure event registration within Cvent, including attendee journey flows and conversion-focused design

- Apply batch content updates as provided by the internal team, including session details, speakers, and agenda content in later phases

- Prepare and QA the site for each key launch milestone, ensuring functionality, responsiveness, and accurate content

- Participate in regular Teams meetings and feedback rounds with the Digital Marketing Manager and stakeholders

- Coordinate with Cvent support and other vendors as needed throughout the engagement

- Manage your own timelines independently and communicate proactively on progress and blockers

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

- Strong hands-on experience building and customizing Cvent event websites, including template configuration, registration setup, and content management

- Familiarity with WordPress website design and development

- Responsive/mobile-first UX sensibility; HTML/CSS knowledge preferred

- Portfolio samples demonstrating modern, mobile-friendly event or conference websites, ideally built in Cvent and/or WordPress, with strong UX, clean navigation, and clear calls-to-action

- Experience supporting conferences, corporate events, trade shows, or B2B marketing teams

- Familiarity with event registration flows and attendee journey optimization

- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage timelines and deliverables independently

- Comfort working within an established team structure and interfacing with multiple stakeholders

- Familiarity with SEO, analytics, and conversion-focused design is a plus

- Basic graphic design skills for minor web graphics and visual edits are a plus (dedicated graphic designer is already on the team)

- Must provide own equipment and software
