Position Summary
Fargo-Moorhead Opera is seeking a part-time Operations & Program Coordinator to provide administrative, communication, and program support for the organization. This role will help keep key details organized, support patron and marketing communication, and assist with the coordination of performances, events, and artist programs.
Working closely with the Executive Director and Artistic Director, this person will help ensure that day-to-day tasks, timelines, and communications are handled efficiently. The position is not intended to own every operational area of the organization, but to provide reliable coordination and support across several important functions.
This role is intentionally designed to be flexible. Responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs, the season, and the strengths of the individual hired.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director and Artistic Director
- Help manage calendars, scheduling, meeting preparation, and internal communication
- Assist with patron communication, ticketing questions, and basic box office support
- Support marketing tasks such as email updates, social media posts, and promotional materials
- Help track timelines, details, and logistics for performances, events, and artist programs
- Assist with Young Artist Program coordination, as directed
- Help maintain organized files, lists, calendars, and project materials
- Support volunteer, artist, donor, and community communication when needed
- Assist with general office operations and special projects as assigned

- Able to work independently while staying connected to a small team
- Comfortable communicating with patrons, artists, volunteers, donors, and community partners
- Interest in the performing arts, nonprofit work, or community-based arts programming
- Experience in administration, marketing, customer service, events, or arts organizations is helpful but not required
Position Details
- Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
- Schedule may vary based on the season, performances, and events
- Some evening and weekend availability required during performances and special events
- Primarily in-person in the Fargo-Moorhead area
- Compensation: $17–$22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Desired Start Date: August 3, 2026
Pay Range: $16 - $22 Hourly
