The Ryan Air Intern will support the Anchorage Station in the Administration, Flight Operations and Cargo departments. The Ryan Air Intern will learn to understand weather, runway conditions, the safety of flight, and human factors. While helping in Cargo operations, the Intern will assist with loading and unloading aircraft, understand weight and balance, and safely handle hazardous material and high-cost material.

Responsibilities

Check-in and inspect incoming and outgoing freight.

Find and select freight for outgoing flights.

Work with customer service representatives about the status of freight and scheduling.

Coordinate charter flights between the flight control team,

Analyze weather and weather patterns to determine safe routing of flights.

Attend the monthly and bi-weekly safety meetings at the company and station level.

Work with management, sales and the pilot group to meet timelines of various clients.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Education Degree

Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Ability to lift 70 pounds.

Experience using computers and software programs.

Willingness to learn how to cargo equipment & operate heavy equipment
