This Behavioral Health Technician position offers a 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday) with your paycheck rounded up to 40 hours, giving you more time off without sacrificing income.
You'll work directly with children and adolescents in a structured behavioral health program, providing support, supervision, and guidance throughout their day.
This role is a great fit for individuals who are currently studying or building a career in psychology, counseling, or behavioral health, or who have prior experience working in a similar setting.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 11:30am – 9:00pm (4-day work week)
- School breaks (summer, winter, etc.):
- Monday–Friday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
- Overtime opportunities available
What You'll Be Doing
- Support clients throughout their daily program, including activities, group sessions, and transitions
- Provide direct care, supervision, and emotional support
- Transport clients to and from the facility (company vehicle)
- Observe behaviors and document progress and changes
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- De-escalate situations and respond appropriately when needed
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support treatment plans
What We're Looking For
- Must be 21+ years old (required for driving clients)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stay calm and effective in high-energy or stressful situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in working with youth
Preferred Background
- Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social services
- 6–12 months of experience working with youth or in a care setting
- Current or recent coursework in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
Compensation
- $18 – $22 per hour
- Consistent full-time pay (40 hours/week)
