Position Summary

The data coordinator is responsible for ensuring data quality and accuracy, report and document integrity, and contact information maintenance. Responsibilities include: data entry, data verification, report writing, report maintenance, eblast and mailing list preparation, and donation processing.

Responsibilities And Essential Duties

  • Verify and maintain contact address and information.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of database records for churches, church plants, and formula of agreement churches where RCA ministers are serving, ministers, commissioned pastors, preaching elders, church planters, elders, deacons, commissions, and all others occupying leadership roles in RCA churches.
  • Interpret information on ministers and churches and follow up with supervisor/stated clerks to provide additional data for the Board of Benefits Services (BOBS) as requested.
  • Process online donations.
  • Proactively maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports.
  • Create and distribute metric reports in a manner that ensures data accuracy and integrity while meeting deadlines.
  • Respond to impromptu requests from staff for data from the database. Create queries as needed. Train local staff to be independent in accessing data when possible.
  • Collect and extract data according to department needs.
  • Maintain and modify existing reports as customer needs change.
  • Complete assigned projects with efficiency and high attention to detail.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of Salesforce applications and reporting.
  • Compare current year Consistorial Report Form (CRF) data to last year’s CRF data to report large discrepancies.
  • Maintain and trouble-shoot MyRCA (RCA Directory) data.
  • Maintain Petition to Withdraw churches and corresponding minister/pastor lists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualicifications

  • Proficency in working with databases, spreadsheets and reporting software.’
  • Minimum of two years of experience in maintaining accurate database information.
  • Strong and effective organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Minimum two years of progressive experience in report creation.
  • Demonstrated skills in fact-based problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people.
  • Committed to the mission and vision of the RCA.
  • Ability to travel up to 15 days per year.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data management, statistics, or related field.

PAY GRADE: 14

HIRING SALARY: $44,000 – $50,000, MI based salary, geographic differential applied for other US based locations.

LOCATION: Hybrid in Grand Rapids, MI or Remote in the United States

REPORTS TO: Director of Data Operations and Events

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/week
