Akkodis is seeking a Client Services Specialist for a contract role with a client located in Pasadena, CA (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $25-$28/hr. (Hourly wage may be negotiable based upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Location: Pasadena, CA

Duration: 6 months to start, potential to extend

Role Overview

Provides daily customer support for end-user computer hardware and software at the Pasadena Office (Onsite) and remote users. Daily support initiatives may include new hire set ups, laptop and desktop refresh, reimaging computers, setting up monitors and computers, supporting audio visual conferences, supporting Microsoft Office 365 products.

Responsibilities

  • Customer focused, attention to detail and proactive approach to serving the user community.
  • Resourcefulness; ability to research problems and resolutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis as a routine part of supporting the computer environment.
  • Logs all customer interactions into the current Incident Reporting System and updates incident for existing issues.
  • Supports Microsoft Office365, Windows 10/11, MAC OS, IPAD and Corporate Standard Laptops/Desktops.
  • Take ownership of incidents and troubleshoot through to resolution.
  • Reasonable judgment in time management, as to minimize user work interruptions with regards to troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Software installation.
  • Maintain equipment for end-users keeping them up to date and in optimal condition.
  • Perform technical refresh (replacing desktops and laptops in accordance with the quarterly refresh program).
  • Onboarding and off boarding users (backing up/restoring data, reimaging and setting up computers).
  • Basic network understanding with the ability to troubleshoot user connectivity issues.
  • Responsible for asset management and inventory of Kansas City’s office computer equipment.
  • Utilize remote control technology to serve our customers quickly and efficiently.
  • Keep management informed on escalated issues.
  • Collaborate and assist internal IT departments with project related initiatives.
  • Must be able to lift to 40lbs and crawl under / behind desks as needed to perform certain aspects of the job.

Skills & Requirements

  • 2 or more years experience with customer support end user hardware and software
  • In-depth understanding of Windows 10/11, MAC OS and desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Teams, WebEx, Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, DNS, DHCP, WINS and TCP/IP.
  • Have experience with OKTA
  • Associate degree or higher in the field of computers related to end-user support, desktop systems, operations systems and/or network management.
  • A+ Certification, required.
  • Six Sigma, Project Management and /or other computer related certifications, a plus.
