Salary range: $60,000 - 65,000

Supervisor: Data and Reporting Manager

Benefits: 6 weeks paid vacation per year; medical, dental, vision, short-term/long-term disability, and life insurance, with premiums paid for by PAD.

The Data Analyst supports the Policing Alternatives and Diversion Initiative (PAD) by maintaining, improving, and operationalizing data systems and reporting infrastructure that inform program strategy, accountability, and continuous quality improvement. The Data Analyst plays a critical role in sustaining the data dashboard, automating reporting processes, and strengthening data workflows that support timely decision-making across the organization. Working closely with the Data and Reporting Manager, this position focuses on executing and sustaining data systems and optimizing reporting workflows. The role also supports the translation of data into accessible products that communicate program outcomes to both internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize coding scripts that support recurring reporting processes and data automation workflows
  • Ensure the stability and accuracy of PAD’s data dashboard by managing data ingestion processes, resolving data refresh issues, and validating outputs.
  • Maintain and operate technical data infrastructure tools, including MongoDB and GitHub repositories, to support version control and structured data management.
  • Conduct analyses to support program monitoring, organizational decision-making, and internal learning.
  • Coordinate with the Data and Reporting Manager to improve electronic case management system data quality and provide technical assistance.
  • Engage in ongoing cross-team collaboration to gain insight into data entry practices.
  • Translate findings into clear summaries and visualizations to support strategic planning and communication of PAD’s outcomes and impact.
  • Maintain technical documentation for dashboard logic, scripts, and system processes to ensure reproducibility and continuity.
  • Support refinement of data dictionaries and organization as part of ongoing data governance practices
  • Support development and implementation of data quality control processes.
  • Foster a culture of positive data literacy and engagement throughout the organization.
  • Respond to data requests in coordination with the Data and Reporting Manager.
  • Perform other technical and analytical duties as assigned to support data systems and reporting needs.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data systems management.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting databases and technical infrastructure, troubleshooting data issues, and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Skilled in leveraging data for program improvement, accountability, or demonstrating impact.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain deadlines, and work independently.
  • Demonstrates a proactive work style, including the ability to identify process improvements and problem-solve independently.
