We are seeking a C onstruction Technician II to join our team in Concord, CA. In this role you will provide technical support for construction projects. This role ensures compliance with project specifications and standards, supports quality assurance efforts, and contributes to the successful execution of engineering and environmental initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials, structures, and systems
  • Perform inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from tests and inspections
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings
  • Operate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocols
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager or Supervisor
  • Install and maintain BMPs such as fiber rolls, gravel bags, jute netting, silt fencing, check dams, and storm drain protection systems.
  • Conduct site services to minimize track-out, sediment transport, and soil movement.
  • Support wildfire recovery and disaster response efforts through BMP deployment and maintenance.
  • Perform daily field reports and photo documentation using mobile survey tools.
  • Assist in hydroseeding, slope stabilization, and vegetation management.
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Wildfire Risk Assessments.
  • Collaborate with field crews and project managers to ensure timely and compliant execution of BMP scopes.

What You'll Bring

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor in outdoor environments.
  • Experience with barbed wire fencing, hydroseeding, and irrigation preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Prior experience in construction, environmental services, or stormwater compliance is a plus.
  • Familiarity of walk behind trencher and various hand tools.

Work Schedule & Conditions

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6AM to 3PM, with potential for overtime, evening, overnight, and weekend work.
  • Lodging and travel costs covered for remote assignments.
  • Fieldwork in varied weather and terrain conditions.

Salary Range

$25-30/hr
