Job Summary

We are hiring a dependable

Maintenance Assistant to support daily facility maintenance and safety operations in a long-term care nursing center. This role helps ensure a clean, safe, and fully operational environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Focus will be on painting and general repairs.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Key Duties

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance
  • Complete work orders and daily facility rounds
  • Assist with Life Safety and safety inspections
  • Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Replace light bulbs, filters, and fixtures
  • Maintain grounds and common areas
  • Prepare resident rooms for move-ins and discharges
  • Provide on-call maintenance support as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Maintenance experience preferred (healthcare or long-term care a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repairs
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
