Job Summary
We are hiring a dependable
Maintenance Assistant to support daily facility maintenance and safety operations in a long-term care nursing center. This role helps ensure a clean, safe, and fully operational environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Focus will be on painting and general repairs.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Key Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance
- Complete work orders and daily facility rounds
- Assist with Life Safety and safety inspections
- Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Replace light bulbs, filters, and fixtures
- Maintain grounds and common areas
- Prepare resident rooms for move-ins and discharges
- Provide on-call maintenance support as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maintenance experience preferred (healthcare or long-term care a plus)
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repairs
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
