Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role based in Sparta, MI. The Human Resources Manager will oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for manufacturing and office teams. This role will manage employee relations, coach leaders on performance management, and support conflict resolution and corrective action processes. The HR Manager will administer compensation and benefits programs, support payroll-related data accuracy, and help ensure compliance with employment laws, safety standards, and company policies. Additional responsibilities include maintaining HR records, supporting training and development initiatives, leading engagement and retention efforts, and partnering with leadership on HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, workplace safety practices, and HR policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze HR data, maintain accurate records, and use HRIS or related HR technology tools.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
