SABG is hiring an SDA Operations Integrator (SME) to support the SEW II contract with the HQ Combat Forces Command (CFC).

JOB TITLE: SDA Operations Integrator (SME)

CLEARANCE: An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required. An active Secret clearance may be considered.

LOCATION: Colorado Springs, Colorado

SALARY: $130,000 - $150,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Essential duties include:

  • Act as the technical and operational advisor to HQ CFC staff regarding ground-based Space Domain Awareness (SDA) sensor capabilities, enabling architectures, and mission operations.
  • Attend meetings, VTCs, and conferences on behalf of the government to present approved positions, capture detailed notes, and manage action items and due-outs.
  • Draft, review, and staff decision-quality documents, including memos, point papers, issue papers, briefings, and formal letters used to inform senior leaders on capability fielding, modernization, and sustainment.
  • Respond rapidly to taskings from higher headquarters (e.g., OSD, CJCS, DAF, USSF, USSPACECOM), coordinating and integrating inputs across all stakeholders to produce clear, professional written responses.
  • Analyze weapon systems and mission operations to assess performance limitations, mission impacts, and overall risk.
  • Review, validate, and recommend changes to HQ CFC documentation. Consolidate, de-conflict, and adjudicate comments from both internal and external organizations.
  • Work directly with Mission Partners and Capability Collaboration Teams (CCTs) to identify, vet, and document technology needs required for prospective materiel solutions.
  • Enable operational units to accomplish their missions by facilitating internal and external stakeholder engagements and coordinating necessary HQ-level support.

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Science or related discipline is recommended.
  • Demonstrate robust expertise and strong background in SDA sensor and space operations.
  • Possessing 3+ years of Higher Headquarters experience and 5+ years of SDA experience is highly recommended.
  • Capable of providing technical and management leadership on major tasks, establishing goals and developing plans that meet project objectives.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with senior leaders, handle client negotiations, and manage activates to ensure technical requirements are met.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Familiarity with government electronic staffing and task management systems (such as the Task Management Tool (TMT)
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in operating secure and unsecure Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems and virtual meeting software (such as MS Teams).
  • Familiarity with space domain visualization or modeling tools.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations, DoD Directives and US Code. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to analyze technical and operational data to formulate strategic recommendations and course of action (COAs). Must be capable of applying logical reasoning to resolve organizational issues and make sound, defensible decisions in a high-tempo environment.
