Position Summary

Seeking an experienced AI/ML Computer Vision Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced computer vision and machine learning solutions for mission-critical national security programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, and deploy ML and computer vision models for real-world mission applications
• Build and optimize deep learning architectures (CNNs, Vision Transformers, hybrid models)
• Perform hyperparameter tuning, model optimization, and performance evaluation
• Develop training, validation, testing, and inference pipelines
• Analyze model performance, identify failure modes, and implement improvements
• Work with large image, video, and sensor datasets for detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, and anomaly detection
• Collaborate with software engineers and MLOps teams for production integration
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies for mission improvement
• Create technical documentation and performance assessments
• Support technical reviews and customer briefings

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top-Secret Clearance with eligibility for SCI with CI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• 4+ years of AI/ML development experience in production, research, or applied engineering
• Proven experience with Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
• Experience training/evaluating ML models with large datasets
• Experience with deep learning-based computer vision models
• Familiarity with CNNs, Vision Transformers, object detection, classification, segmentation
• Strong understanding of computer vision fundamentals
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows

Preferred Skills

• Experience with generative AI (diffusion models, image generation)
• Familiarity with Vision-Language Models (VLMs), multimodal AI, Large Vision Models (LVMs), RAG
• Object tracking, multi-object tracking, video analytics experience
• Remote sensing or sensor-based data experience
• Reinforcement learning or autonomous systems knowledge
• MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Airflow, CI/CD)
• Cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Defense, intelligence, aerospace, or mission-critical programs experience

Salary

Starting at $110,000, with potential for higher compensation based on experience, skills, and mission needs.
