We are seeking a proven Hospice Executive Director to lead a Denver-area hospice program.
This is a key leadership role for a strong local operator who understands hospice operations, knows the market, and has a track record of building teams, driving growth, and leading a high-performing branch.
As the Hospice Executive Director, you will provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for the local hospice program. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, staff leadership, financial performance, regulatory oversight, and continued growth of the branch.
This role requires someone who can lead from the front, build and maintain the right team, manage the business, and help create a strong culture focused on quality care, accountability, and long-term success.
Position Responsibilities
• Oversee the overall management and performance of hospice operations
• Lead branch operations with accountability for staffing, hiring, budgets, and day-to-day execution
• Develop and manage the annual budget, while monitoring expenditures and financial performance
• Analyze business volume, market conditions, competition, service mix, and operational costs
• Drive growth by expanding new and existing referral and client relationships
• Partner with recruiting and leadership to attract, hire, and retain top talent
• Work closely with clinical leadership on intake activity, patient needs, and operational execution
• Ensure compliance with company standards, as well as applicable federal and state regulations
• Help build and maintain a strong branch culture focused on performance, service, and stability
Requirements
• Must have hospice experience
• Must be local to the Denver, CO market
• Must have strong local market knowledge, relationships, and established contacts
• Minimum 3–5 years of hospice operations management experience
• Experience with budget development, financial oversight, and expense management
• Broad understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership, operational, strategic, and managerial ability
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
