Kintech Supply Chain Management (USA) is a Houston-based freight forwarding and supply chain company managing U.S. import/export logistics, customs and trade compliance, warehousing, and 3PL operations for international clients. We operate across borders and time zones, with teams in Houston and China working together to keep cargo and clients moving.

The Role

We're hiring an Operations Manager to lead and elevate our daily logistics operations. You'll own the operational engine — people, partners, processes, and compliance — and serve as the bridge between our Houston team, our China-based colleagues, and our clients. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can both run the floor and improve how it runs.

What you'll do

• Lead daily logistics operations across ocean, air, ground, and warehousing
• Manage and develop the Houston operations team; coordinate closely with our China-based team across time zones
• Own 3PL and warehouse partner relationships — selection, performance, SLAs, and issue resolution (including agile partners capable of frequent relabeling and urgent outbound)
• Oversee import/export compliance and trade risk (customs, Incoterms, tariff and AD/CVD exposure) in coordination with brokers
• Manage key client relationships, drive resolution on operational disputes, and maintain clear SOPs
• Build process improvements, track KPIs, and report operational performance to management
• Manage vendor relationships across trucking, warehousing, and logistics partners

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain, including 2+ years in a lead or management role
• Strong command of U.S. import/export operations, customs processes, and Incoterms; trade compliance (AD/CVD) knowledge a strong plus
• Hands-on 3PL and warehouse management experience
• Proven leadership: you can build SOPs, develop a team, and stay cool under pressure
• Comfortable with Excel and operational systems (TMS/WMS exposure a plus)
• Fluent English required
• Mandarin Chinese strongly preferred — daily coordination with our China-based team
• Spanish is a plus — regular interaction with carriers, truckers, and warehouse partners
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
