Wiser Solutions is looking for a highly organized, enthusiastic, and positive HR Generalist to join our People team. This is a great opportunity for someone with approximately three years of HR experience who is eager to own core HR operations and a recruiting coordination role. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and energized by keeping things moving—whether that’s shepherding a candidate through the interview process, ensuring smooth onboarding, or recognizing employees for milestones big and small.
While our People and Culture team is located in the Bay area, this position can be fully remote in the United States. However, our preference is someone that is currently located in the Bay area.
Essential Functions
- Support the full recruiting lifecycle: open job requisitions, manage job postings, coordinate and track interview scheduling, keep candidates and hiring managers informed, draft offer letters, and route for e-signature. Initial candidate screens will be supported by senior HR staff until fully ramped.
- Serve as the first point of contact for general HR questions and rout to senior staff as needed.
- Process incoming company mail daily, including routing and distribution.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding in UKG (our HRIS), including I-9 verification and completion of new hire documentation.
- Manage employee offboarding workflows, including submitting IT tickets to ensure timely access removal and equipment retrieval.
- Maintain and update employee records in UKG, ensuring data integrity; generate and maintain HRIS reports and provide ad hoc reporting to support the People team.
- Serve as a point of contact for benefit carriers—obtain and maintain logins, pull reports as needed, and support light-touch benefits administration.
- Manage benefits open enrollment process in the fall including working with brokers and HRIS set-up.
- Coordinate Leave of Absences, tracking FMLA, state leaves, working with People SVP throughout the process.
- Support employment law compliance and any state-specific requirements.
- Coordinate new hire welcome boxes and employee milestone and recognition/award packages.
- Maintain HR Policy and Handbook, updating as needed.
- Coordinate and post employee birthday and work anniversary announcements (Teams internal channels).
- Maintain regular and reliable work attendance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Approximately 3-4 years of HR or People Operations experience.
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS system; experience with UKG (UltiPro) strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Familiarity with employment law
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail—you keep things from falling through the cracks.
- Positive, go-getter attitude with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stay calm under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable corresponding with candidates, employees, and vendors.
- Experience supporting or coordinating recruiting workflows is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- High level of discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package. Pay is established on an individual basis after considering multiple factors such as relevant experience, education, and other qualifications. In addition, we take into account geographical differentials and make sure pay is equitable with our current staff. For this position, our hiring range for base annual pay is estimated to be $80,000 to $95,000, at the time of this posting.
Performance-based discretionary bonuses and variable pay plans are available for some positions. Our benefits package is exceptional and makes up an important part of our total rewards for our employees.
